the BOMB

Everyone has been going a little bit mad for Lush products lately on the blogosphere. I must admit I had my 'Lush Phase' about 3 years ago when my friend worked there and got us stuff all the time. Since she left there though I sometimes begrudge paying the prices because I got such a good deal before. During the time I never even contemplated trying the Bath Bombs as living in a rotten student house (rotten is a compliment btw) I didn't feel it was sanitary enough to take actual baths in it. Now I live in a clean house though and the shower is shit I have been indulging in baths on a daily basis, I've been using bubble baths but I must admit they don't really do much for me. They have bubbles yeah but my skin doesn't feel any different than with just plain water. Then I spotted the 'Bomb Cosmetics' Bath Blasters in a shop in Trentham Gardens. They were £3 each or 3 for £5 which I felt was a pretty good price! It also included soaps and the little bath creamers.
The Lucky Dip Blaster I got because I was a sucker for intrigue and apparently it had a toy in the middle. Alas it did, the toy wasn't very good, it was like a gooey bug thing in a case like a kinder egg. The magical unveiling of the toy was nice though and I bet kids would proper love it. The smell was Mint Choc Chip fragrance but didn't smell too chocolatey to be honest. BUT the water made my skin silky smooth.
Next I chose the Love Birds blaster, which contained Shea Butter and Black Pepper Oil. I really liked how cute the design for this was. But when the blaster dispersed in the water I could see bits of the oil but couldn't feel a difference on my skin. It still smelt amazing though.
And the last blaster I chose was the Spiced Mango Woozle. I have just used this this morning and it's definitely the best one! It smells amazing, made my skin lovely and soft and I can smell it in my hair hours later. Amazing.,
The three Creamers I chose were chosen purely for cuteness and they all smell SO GOOD just like the blasters. However these have been given away as a present to someone else, I know I know, how could I give that little ducky away!! Wahhhh.
Have you tried these? How do you think they fair to the Lush alternatives? You can find the whole ranges online at http://www.bombcosmetics.co.uk.

  2. While I love Lush I fear their prices for things. You've tempted me into going to buy the ones they have in one of the cheap stores near me just to see what they are like!

  4. That love birds one is so cute! I have never bought anything from Lush, but that doesn't mean I won't be in the future, I am always VERY tempted when I walk past!
