Bargain Hunt - Einstein Lip Therapy

Oh, Home Bargains, if one could count the ways I heart thee. Your vast array of stock, your bargain prices, your ways to make my life a little more complete with every visit to your store. Yes, I've been perusing the aisles again and had a spare 50p..... said 50p bought me this 2 Step Einstein Lip Therapy, which boasts itself as being a revolutionary and intelligent way to care for my lips - and even left me with 1pence change.
I always have quite dry lips and never go anywhere without a trusty lip balm, my choice at the moment is Burts Bee's Pink Blossom Tinted lip balm, which is pretty good both for moisture and a touch of colour. I didn't expect much from this for 49p but bought it anyway I mean I didn't have much to lose right?
I was quite intrigued by the 2 step system, I've never really noticed a lip care product like this before, other than make up ranges that would have a colour and a balm (and still manage to dry my lips out no end).
The ingredients list did impress me somewhat, with Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and what not. The pots themselves are fairly small, it kind of feels like you're not getting your moneys worth.... Until you remember they only cost 49p.
The first step, in the pink pot, was not what I was expecting at all. It had a sealed bit on underneath the lid, a bit like when you open milk for the first time. I hastily pulled this off not realising it was a runny goop underneath. It made a bit of a mess so if you do try this then please be aware that it if you get it for yourself!  The goop itself is not as sticky as you would imagine and contains these little yellow balls in that burst when you rub it into your lips. A little goes a very long way and you immediately feel and see the results.
You then apply the 2nd step which is a balm. It provides a really weird cooling sensation, and a touch of shine on your lips. Pretty much just like Carmex.
Overall for 49p you simply cannot go wrong. Even a small pot of actual Carmex would cost you more than that. You can use either one alone or together, and it does last the best part of 7hours. Defo a winner winner chicken dinner.
