Ikea erm, KOLSYRAD

Ah, Ikea, the land of Swedish goodness. You may have stopped selling Kopparberg and Daim bars in your Swedish supermarket section, but I can forgive you, really, I can. They've made the entire Swedish Food section exclusively Ikea products now, I don't know why they've done it as the basic packaging on food doesn't really appeal to me. This drink however, did.
Mainly because I didn't know what the hell it was. It seems with all the Ikea packaging they like to remain pretty elusive about what is actually in the plain, no frills design. It works for furniture, but food? Really?
Turns out that this is actually Apple Cider with Cloudberry (*googles what a cloudberry is) Ah yes, it's a pale looking raspberry but a bit fatter. I don't know what they taste like on their own, but at least now I know what they taste like in a 'sparkling alcoholic apple drink' ie; CIDER.
It's a rather sweet taste, not sickly at first but I imagine it would very quickly become that way. It's not a tarte flavour like Pear cider is, and it's not particularly sour. It's hard to describe. Not an offensive flavour but you certainly wouldn't crack open 12 cans on a Friday night. It's more of a light drink in the evening whilst you're watching rubbish TV type thing. I would probably have it again with a tomato based curry. I don't know why but it's the type of taste I think would suit such a dish! I don't think description helps anyone does it?! Basically if you go to Ikea buy ONE tin and don't go mad buying a crate.... It's not 'all that' but at the same time it's an OK beverage.
