Beautiful Botanics

Oh, how wonderful is the new packaging design of the Boots Botanics range? I am completely besotted with it, every time I've seen it in store since it's release I'd lusted after it all. But when I actually inspect the products there's just nothing that I need in my life right now... But I NEEDED something! Do you get what I'm saying? Just look at it, it's screaming ''BUY ME! BUY ME! I'M AMAZING''

I decided on 2 products in the end, I had to treat myself as it's currently got 1/3 off too. At £2.66 for this Botanics Purifying Face Scrub, it would have been rude not to. It claims to buff away all my impurities, and I really do need this is my life right now! I don't know about you but this scorching weather plays havoc with my skin and makes it seem almost grubby? The consistency of this is thinner than I would of expected and not very creamy over all but it does the job of exfoliating with it's crushed up walnut shell. The smell is rather subtle and it does leave my skin feeling pretty refreshing, however, I do need to use it after a normal face wash as it doesn't remove make up like my trust Soap and Glory exfoliator did before!
The second product I chose to try was the 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz. I got this purely out of curiosity as I've never owned a product like this before and for £3.33 I figured it was no biggy if I didn't like it.... But truth is I LOVE IT. It's meant to be to tone after you cleanse to remove any last traces of make up, but I have been using it simply to refresh my face in this humidity! I've sprayed it both over make up and on my bare skin and both are equally as effective. Over make up it seems to revive the look of it, leaving it looking dewy and fresh again without taking it off. I've not tried it but I imagine this would be a pretty good dupe for the MAC Fix + everyone seems to be raving about! It smells very delicate, like a diluted rosewater.
Overall I am glad I succumb to the beauty of good packaging design. A similar thing has happened to me with the Tesco Value range, have you seen it?! It looks wonderful now it's had a rebrand and when I take my 95p Sausage and Mash into work for dinner I don't feel as ashamed as I would if it was still in the old blue, red and white value packaging... That's a bit off point though really, but you get my reasoning. Have you tried anything from the new look Botanics range? I would love it if they did some more products for spot prone skin, I might try the 'calming' moisturiser though to see how that goes down.

  1. Hi Terri!

I have also purchased the rose toner, I really like it, I find it really refreshing after cleansing. I think the price of it was what swayed me too :)

Before the packaging had a re-vamp I used to use the mattifying gel cream, I loved that product so much! They have changed it to a pot now rather than a pump bottle which I find quite annoying but other than that, it is a great brand :)

(My post featured Botanics today too! Yay for Boots).

  5. Ooh, so glad I've seen this, I had completely forgotten Botanics existed but I used to absolutely love their products! The Rosewater Spritz sounds lovely and is such a bargain, especially when compared with Caudalie Beauty Elixir and the like. Definitely giving this a try.
