Butterfly Chunks

Oh, Playsuits - Y U SO PRETTY YET SO AWKWARD? I picked up this lovely playsuit from TK Maxx for £14.99 yesterday and I've not had it off since. It's absolutely wonderful, to a point. I mean it's so comfy to wear and lounge around in and looks great BUT try going for a pee when you're out and about; take off your coat, your cardi, pretty much strip nekkid just to empty your bladder. You also have to make sure you have chosen a cubicle with a lock that works! The endless panic that ensues when you're not sure the door has locked right and someone might walk in on your naked toilet adventure.

I've teamed it with a nice shit green shade of cardigan as I thought it would add to the 'garden'esque feel of the whole thing. The butterflies are so summery and the material is that lovely sheer stuff that's light to wear. Also perfect for this erratic weather where you can't wear a skirt without fear of a gust revealing your pants and also can't wear trousers as it's way too warm!
Last night I wore it with my beautiful Jelly Shoes which I've gotta say are freakin' awesome. They're so comfy! But today I bought myself some shoes I've been eyeing up for a while from a shoe shop called Deichmann. We don't have one in Stoke but every time I go to Manchester or Liverpool I go in and ALWAYS seem to leave with a new pair of shoes. It's one of those types of shops that looks like they wouldn't do anything brilliant, perhaps granny style shoes at best. But when you go in it's an absolute HAVEN of awesome shoes. And so so cheap.
These cost me a mere £19.99 and are the comfiest heals I've had for a while (well, apart from my Jelly shoes haha) They've got a really cosy lining inside and a chunky sole and heal with a mega grip on the bottom so no Bambi moments when you slip up on a wet patch on the floor in Tesco! Have you ever visited a Deichmann? If not I suggest you do! Straight away!!

  1. I love this playsuit, it's lovely! Adore the print. Know what you mean about playsuits though, I wore a skirt over a playsuit recently as I thought it'd make it more work friendly, did not think it through and felt very weird getting nekkid in the cubicle at work. Nearly wore won to a festival once too before I had a lightbulb moment; can you imagine getting naked in a portaloo?!! X

    1. It really is, I don't really wear light coloured clothing as I tend to spill everything on myself but this, this I can do.

  4. Ooh this is gorgeous and you just stated the reason why I will never buy another playsuit as long as I live - stripping to go to the toilet is not the best idea. Saying that, I've had one for four years that I love! x

    1. They always have the best design/pattern too, hate when I see a 'dress' then go closer and it's a playsuit!!

  5. Urgh just read Rosie's comment about the portaloo - that would be disastrous!
I bought a lovely playsuit from TK Maxx recently, haven't worn it yet, and considering wearing it to a Nelly & Fashiolista event on Wednesday, but I'm just anxious of the whole getting naked thing, I mean, imagine if you couldn't get the zip back up at all! I saw that happen to some poor girl in a night club bathroom before, her zip actually bust and she had to go home with her friends clutching her playsuit together, poor thing!

Love the print of your playsuit, it's lovely! xx

I don't normally shop in Deichmann. In fact I barely notice the shop when I'm at my local shopping centre, but I think I need to get these! They're going to be perfect for winter :)

Did they have them in any other colours?

  13. Hi,
I have just discovered your Amaazzzing blog and am working through the back catalouge of posts. I dip dyed my hair about a month ago and am loving it (despite the shite condition my hair is now in - daily hair masks are definitely on the menu) but i love how you change up the colour of your ends, how do you do that? My attention span for hair colour is ridiculously short.

    thanks x
