Flawless Fix

Another day, another Look Beauty product. I know, I know!!! I need to quit the obsession. And before you think it - I am not being paid or endorsed by Look Beauty in any way! If they read this and they'd like to though, I'm open to offers! Haha. I just genuinely think their make up range is one of the best on the high street at the moment, as proven time and time again by each and every product I spontaneously purchase!

Today I bring you their Flawless Fix Beauty Balm Foundation in Light. I really wasn't sure what to expect when I picked this up off the shelf. At the time it was on half price offer from £10 to £5. So, for £5 it really is a snip compared to other 'BB' foundation/creams on the market at the moment. Like all the BB creams out there it claims to give you enough coverage for imperfections whilst still letting your 'skin shine through'.
The bottle, once again, FEELS and LOOKS like that of a much pricier product. It's a satisfyingly heavy glass bottle (seriously, go pick on up in store you'll be surprised!) which a lovely frosted finish. One thing I was really, kind of REALLY impressed with, was the pump dispenser! It's just like nothing I have tried before. I know that sounds ridiculous. But it's just so.... expensive looking?! (I need to stop saying that!) But it's so sleek and hefty for a £5 (RRP £10) product.
One full pump provides the perfect amount of product to do your entire face, no more, no less it seems. But you can press it half way down or where ever to receive less of a blob. It's a nice creamy mixture which isn't too runny but at the same time is the perfect consistency to blend effortlessly. I find it does provide a medium coverage which is perfect for when/if we get some nice weather this summer. With a touch of concealer on bothersome spots I feel I could actually go out with just this one (I usually use a heavy coverage foundation AND a powder foundation on top).... I'll add I haven't yet though as the weather is so awful, I know it sounds silly but when it's colder outside I always feel a little better with that extra bit of make up on!
It's also the smoothest thing my face has seen for a while and  although you probably don't need it, if you use Look Beauty's Perk Me Up!(the affordable alternative to Benefit's That Gal) primer underneath you're set for a wonderfully dewy finish that lasts all day long. It feels so light and creamy when applying, I've been using my fingers as opposed to a brush and even noticed them feeling a tad softer after day 2... I'm sorry I haven't put on any images of this on my face by the way, I'm looking a little 'weathered' lately due to a snotty nose!
The only criticism I have of this product is that it doesn't actually say the ingredients anywhere, neither on the bottle or the website (unless I'm being super ditsy and missed it). Which is a little bit of a shame as I would love to know what makes it so great. It's made my skin so smooth and soft in the short time I have used it and teamed with Collection 2000's perfecting minerals it provides me with an utterly flawless base. Overall, I know Beauty Balms receive a bit of a bad press, but I don't think they're over hyped products I think they're simply misunderstood. I have found when I have used BB Creams over a period of time my skin's condition has seen an improvement, you just need to persevere. I have tried a fair few since they've been on the market in the UK so may do a round up of the best and worst ones I have found, would that be a good post?! Let me know!

  1. Go for the BB roundup! I've only used the Garnier one and it's just run out, so I'd like to know what to use next. Might try this LOOK one though. Does it come in different shades?
