Magnificent Macadamia

Ah, I'm sure you've seen this lovely little duo doing the rounds on the Blogosphere over the past few months. Well, I finally got my mitts on them to see if they live up to their hype! I'm always very pessimistic when it comes to blogger hype, as quite a lot of the time I don't get what all the fuss is about when I try these wondrous products so many harp on about, but when it comes to hair care I'm willing to try most things.

The first thing I noticed about the Macadamia Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo and Moisturising Rinse was the fancy pants bottles. In fact, my house mate thought I'd popped some bottles of posh vinegarette in the bathroom, they wouldn't look out of place in the kitchen cupboard that's for sure. The shapes of the bottles are handy for when you're in the shower though and need to squidge some out as they're a slender round shape (I've been having trouble squidging ones like Herbal Essences out lately as their bottle is so awkward!). The smell of both of these products is lovely,  I can't quite describe it as I've not smelt anything like it before. It's a nice rich but not heavy scent. If you get what I mean.
The shampoo is a very runny consistency which I've not experienced before, but foams up effortlessly in the hair and as soon as I rinsed it out I couldn't help but bask in the glory of how smooth my hair felt! I've been applying the tiniest amount of the moisturising rinse too and the condition of my hair has improved so much in the short while I've been using them. So much so I dare say I could get away with using just the shampoo from now on and perhaps use the moisturising rinse once a week. Yes; it's that good! My hair is so brittle and dry especially on the ends where I have dip dyed it, but this duo is making it so smooth, soft and healthier looking it's amazing. You can find these and many other wonderful treats at http://www.hairtrade.com, who has such a great range of hair care products you'll find yourself filling that virtual basket up in no time at all. I'm currently eyeing up their 'Festival Hair Kits' which contains the Macadamia Oil leave in Cream too! And yes I am going to grit my teeth and say - they kind of DO live up to all the hype, especially the shampoo, I am so pleasantly surprised!

  4. I'm so tempted to try this if its as good as you say, my hair gets so dry and I'm trying to look after it more so it'll grow. Do you think just getting the moisturising rinse will do a decent job? Xx

    1. To be completely honest I think it's the shampoo that's making a the difference! I usually wouldn't even dream of saying such a thing! But thats how good it is!

  5. I'd normally be like "shit son, that's pricey" and steer well clear, but A- it's not terrible compared to some other brands, and B- I trust that it's good because you say it's good, not because you're on a blogger bandwagon (case in point, Essie nail varnish. I think it's meant to be cool to own it, so therefore you have to say it's good because otherwise you're an idiot for buying something just because it's cool). I might have to treat myself, especially as my hair is prone to becoming split end city haha
