Perk Me Up!

HELLO!!! ARE YOU AWAKE?! .....NO?! Ok, I'll stop shouting at you with Caps Lock then and tell you about a little wonder product to make your tired little squishy face look perky and revived. It comes in the form of Look Beauty Perk Me Up Skin Brightening Primer!

I'm not gonna lie, me and Primer's have a love/hate relationship. I want to love them but they want to hate me. I've tried a few now, including the sought after Benefit Porefessional and That Gal. Both of which just don't want to work for me! They kind of just give me a weird layer of tackyness and when I put the foundation over it just clogs up and looks WEIRD. When I first saw this I thought it would be the case all over again, but boyyyy was I wrong!

It comes in a really sleek looking bottle with a pump dispenser, it feels like a nice luxury product that may set you back a few pennies... But guess what! It's an amazing RRP of £12! How awesome is THAT? But I guess you're wondering why I love it so much huh? Well, this feels like it's actually PRIMING my face, not just giving me another LAYER. It's rubs in like a little dream boat and when I put my foundation on over the top it actually does smooth over a lot better and it adds a nice dewy glow without looking like a grease ball. I can only explain it like when you paint something and give it an undercoat and then the real paint on top. It makes the paint smoother and look better! Good analogy Terri Lowe.

It's not as heavy as That Gal or as runny I think, and does the job that I expected That Gal to do. I've found with my Primer adventures the cheaper ones have performed a lot better, the only other one I've been able to get on with was the budget bargain Technic one. But the Look one provides a much better finish over all. Do you want to know something else thats ace too? All of Look Beauty's products are currently on a mega offer on their website and instead of paying £12 for this baby you can get it for a mere £7!! SEE. I've got to say that the Look Beauty range is actually some of the best and affordable make up I've tried for a while, if you've been reading my previous blog posts about them then you can see for yourself. I have a few other little treats to show you too if you're interested so keep a look out!

  2. I have the sample size that gal in my makeup bag waiting to be tried, but I don't think I'd buy a full size one if a cheaper (better) alternative like this one is available! I've never tried anythinng from the look range, but I'd it's as good as you say I may have to rectify that. . . Xo

  3. After reading all your blog posts I spent £25 in the Look sale - I hate paying for shipping haha! Wish I would have picked this up now, but i'm pretty much in love with witch's primer, hopefully my order will get here soon - I picked up most of the lipsticks everytime I added them to the basket it was giving me a £2 discount so they ended up costing me £2 each :]

    1. Yes it's a lot better to work with but achieves the look that That Gal is meant to (if that makes sense!)
