More Empty Crap

One of the challenges before me right now is trying to use up all the half empty bottles of stuff in my bathroom before I move! It really annoys me moving house, especially when you have to filter through all your stuff and decide what's worth taking and what can have a new home of its own in the bin. I also hate taking half used stuff as in my head it's a case of 'new home, new stuff' and I don't want to basically move what's going to be litter in a few days from house to house! I know a lot of people who don't follow me on twitter are thinking I only mentioned on my blog a few months ago I was moving, well yes I did only move about 4 months ago to a new place but numerous disasters are pretty much prompting me to up sticks and leave, mainly the fact the current house is a shit hole haha. New one bedroom flat for myself acquired though and I will be getting the keys in two weeks as long as it all goes smoothly and no more disasters happen! Anyway challenge to use up all my bathroom stuff....accepted.

This is pretty much all the stuff I've managed to polish off this week alone, which shows what a massive hoarder of tiny little amounts left in the bottom of bottles I really am!! If a product is good I tend to savour the last drop for months and months and months before I'll actually just empty it! I don't know why I do this? Shampoo abandonment issues? Who knows. Anyway, there's a bit of a range here from toothpaste to shower wash.

Colgate Max White One Toothpaste: I love this toothpaste! I would buy it again and again and will stock up now it's on two for £4 at Boots. After using for only a few weeks people commented on how white my teeth were, which is a rare thing indeed.
Mitchum Advanced Deodorant:  I discovered this deodorant when I was a Student Finance Presenter, doing presentations on your own in front of 100 6th form students made me a right sweaty betty. So I bought this just before I was due in a school once and it kept my pitts extra dry! I don't use any deodorant since discovering this one. The purple one is the best scent but they seem to have stopped stocking it everywhere now, grrr.
Palmers Cocoa Butter Moisturiser: A standard bathroom staple! Hands up if you HAVEN'T got a bottle of this!
Soap & Glory Clean on Me Shower Wash: I mentioned before I bought the Cien Shower Cream as a replacement for this, well it wasn't a replacement it was pretty much so I didn't have to use the last cm! I got the Soap & Glory gift set for Christmas though so finally said goodbye to this beauty and started the new bottle.
Tresemm√© Keratin Smooth Treatment Masque:  An unexpected surprise from Tressem√©, I'm not really a fan of their brand at all but this was brilliant. I only bought it about 3 weeks ago on a 3 for £10 offer and used it up already! It leaves my hair really shiny and soft and also avoids the awkward kinks when I go to bed with my hair slightly moist.
Percy & Reed Shampoo Mini: I love this range! It's amazingly good quality and smells like those Fruit Salad sweets your used to get in a penny mixture as a kid. The conditioner to this is brilliant but I actually used that up ages ago,
Vichy Normaderm Moisturiser: I've had this for over a YEAR now, I know I should of used it sooner. Over all it never made much of a difference to the over all quality of my skin despite using it daily for a good 6 months at one point. It does kind of peel your skin but not in too gross a way and leaves it feeling refreshed, but for the price it's nothing fantastic.
Monu Revitalising Moisturiser: A beauty box one this! It's really calmed down the redness in my skin and was a generally nice moisturiser but I doubt I'll repurchase as it was nothing ground breaking.
& finally, Balance Me Face Moisturiser: I got this when it was free in a magazine. I think the entire Balance Me skin care range is wonderful, particularly their eye cream which actually feels like it's worked in the morning! Once again, the moisturiser is good, but nothing mega amazing. Smells lovely though!

A lot of moisturisers in there huh? Demonstrating my inability to throw anything away when it's on the last drop when something is good and just basically being a massive hoarder.

  1. I'm putting my hands up I don't have Palmers Cocoa Butter Moisturiser in fact I have none of this stuff, but you know why lol x I did use Mitchum for many years but I think something may have changed in the formula as it started to make me itch :(

    1. Hahaha yeah I know whyyy! Mitchum seems the only thing that stops my pits getting all clammy nowadays! Which sucks because it's never on offer! Sweaty girl problemz.

    2. I use the Mitchum Advanced Care roll on which is amazing. I used to use the same spray as you but like Sarah it started to make me itch :( Might be an eczema-sufferer thing, who knows.

I'd definitely recommend the roll on. It smells nice but is subtle, and stops me being a sweaty betty too. But then again, I've never done a presentation in front of that many people so I guess that's the ultimate test... x

    3. I might try it as it does tend to be cheaper I noticed, but I hate roll ones usually, they always make my underarms just feel wet! Oooh getting sexier by the moment me!

    4. Ha ha. I know what you mean, I used to hate rolls ons, but this one dries pretty quickly as long as you don't instantly throw on your clothes. Strut about for a minute then get dressed!

  7. I'm exactly the same when it comes to moving. I'm not moving until July and already I've started making a concerted effort to cut down on 'stuff' even though we're actually moving into a bigger place- I think it's 'cause I don't want the new place to feel cluttered as soon as we've moved in, even though that'll almost inevitably happen after living there a few months, as I want to keep that shiny and new feeling for as long as possible. I don't like taking old towels to new homes too, don't know why, it just feels like bad luck haha. I use the same toothpaste and share your love for it xx
