Orla Kiely Milly Shoes – Primark Shift Dress – Mulberry Inspired Shoulder Bag
I remember the exact Primark trip when I bought this sixties patterned shift dress. It was before the store in Stoke on Trent was opened and my very first Primark experience. Bearing in mind this would have been over 6 years now, this dress is still going strong! I think it cost me something ridiculous like £6, and on that trip I remember being in awe of spending about £30 and literally coming home with an entire new wardrobe! It just shows that sometimes in Primark you really can drop on some awesome quality garments. I cracked it out of the wardrobe again recently to pair with my brand new Orla Kiely shoes from Clarks. I have been absolutely obsessed with these shoes ever since I saw the Moonrise Kingdom style promo images for the range. It was beautiful. Really really beautiful. And alas, after months of trying them on in store and putting them back on the stand I finally cracked. You know how life is. It took me days to even take them out of the box when I got home. As you know I love my budget buys and cheaper alternative options, so to spend
£90 on shoes made me feel so…. guilty, somehow?! It wasn’t all that bad though as I was given £40 worth of high street vouchers from a handsome man I know, so in real life they only cost £50 and £50 for a pair of Clarks shoes isn’t really that bad overall! Also, not to mention that delicious patterned sole that I just couldn’t bring myself to ruin by actually wearing them. I finally caved though and they’ve been out of the box several times now, completing my life one step at a time. iKrush were the kind providers of this over sized Mulberry-like handbag and they weren’t kidding when it came to the over sized part! The bag is literally the size of my entire torso. But that makes it excellent for work to keep like, everything inside, or when you go shopping so you don’t have to lug around a load of carrier bags.
