Hello sunshine, it’s nice for you to show your beautiful face. If you could please stay shining over the weekend, that would certainly be lovely. Some of us have been stuck at work Monday to Friday 9-5 and would like to enjoy a bit more of the fancy pants sun. I usually find it really hard to know what the wear when it’s sunny outside, but lately I’ve not been having that issue as it’s actually been so hot that one garment alone will do, without the additional thought of which layers to take out with you just in case it gets a bit nippy.
I bought this cute little button up blue dress from Cow Vintage when I picked up my beloved two piece the other week. It only cost £14 and I instantly fell in love with it! With Cow you literally need to buy everything right there and then, because if you don’t the chances are it’s going to be sold out when you go back to get it. This dress is a little big, but the label did say small. And I really like the little tied waist band too. I always love browsing in Cow, because it actually has decent vintage clothing in; without ridiculous price tags! Not like these musk filled excuses for vintage fairs, which from experience have just been jumble sales of random tat.
Teamed with my brand new Dr Martens Jocelyn Cut Out shoes from Cloggs, this makes for the perfect casual sunshine outfit. I went for their buckle fastening low heels as they’re a bit of a fancier twist on a classic dolly shoe, with the addition of a perfectly wearable block heel. I never ever wear any type of heel during the day, but I’ve been wearing these to DEATH and they have remained so comfortable! I was a bit iffy about the floral pattern on them at first, but I’ve grown to actually like this girly addition to them, as they’re also way more feminine than my Dr Marten Boots. Fortunately the Dr Marten shoes didn’t need breaking in at all like the boots, which took about 3 weeks before the leather decided to adapt to my feet. They’re also really good shoes if you’ve got a slightly wider foot too, like me! I’ve also been wearing them without socks, which I never do. These shoes are pretty much breaking all my feet rules.
