When we got to Ox Pasture Hall Hotel the other week, we had a few hours to kill before dinner was served (or as we call it in Stoke, TEA. Dinner is served mid day round these parts!). We took this little opportunity to have a little stroll around the gardens where the hotel was based in the countryside setting in Scarborough. Even though the sun was still out a bit, it was still a little bit on the chilly side, so I teamed my beautiful Tartan Dress from Ark with my beloved grey H&M cardigan. I think this cardigan is possibly one of my favourite purchases ever, and only cost £7.99! It’s comfy, easy to wear and not too thick either so you don’t have to keep taking it on and off when you hit the land of central heating. I made friends with a little deer who is now my life long pal for helping me show off my favourite Primark shoes too. The grounds at Ox Pasture is beautiful and would be perfect for a summer wedding. The little lake and fields for as far as the eye can see really is the perfect setting. My friend who is local to the hotel did attend a wedding there and said it was really wonderful; the food, atmosphere and location. With it being quite close to the actual town and homes in Scarborough, it’s surprising how remote you feel when you’re actually quite close to a town!
I do have a *proper* blog post coming about my stay at Ox Pasture Hall, instead of just the snippets from Harbour Bar and my evening meal! The room itself needs a dedicated blog post, but alas, with work, the sudden decline in weather and my camera death which is making me sulk, I just haven’t had the energy to sort out the pictures. I am a bad person. But don’t worry, I’m adjusting to these dark nights slowly but surely so will be back in the swing of things very soon!
