Foolproof Hair

Remington Keratin Therapy Pro Volume hair styler review on Hello Terri Lowe

I'm pretty lazy when it comes to styling my hair. I never have it up, never straighten it and just whack it in a bun every night to prevent my hair extensions from getting all tangled. Recently I have found a hair styling tool to change my hair life, though. It comes in the form of the Remington Keratin Therapy Pro Volume heated brush thing, which I picked up from Superdrug last week.

The idea is simple. You just plug this heated brush hair tool in, switch on the button and wait for it to heat up. Then you can use it to either volume at the roots, create a wave in your hair, or just smooth it through to polish a straight(ish) style. It's kind of like a hybrid of straighteners, a large round brush and volumising rollers; all in one tool. Due to the Keratin coated ceramic plates, it adds such a soft sheen to your hair and makes mine feel so soft afterwards. Although I'm sure it's some kind of hair care oxymoron to use a curling device which also contains keratin, as I'm sure that's usually used to straighten hair? But I'm not complaining, it simply smooths mine out and makes the condition feel wonderful. The varying bristle length of the brush also ensures you grab each hair with no effort at all and makes it suitable for long or shorter hair do's.

I've been pretty apprehensive about using heat tools on my hair for about 5 years now, as straighteners are so damaging and really made my hair frizz when I used them on a weekly basis. Once I stopped using them my hair was so much healthier, but it took a good few months for my hair to get used to not using them and I suffered endless frizz in between! But I think this Remington Pro Volume styler has gently eased me back in to making an effort when it comes to my hair. It's so simple to use and takes no time at all to get your hair from drab to fab. There's also minimum risk of burning yourself or a surface as the bristles are a good length away from the heated barrel!

Costing me just shy of £30, it's safe to say it's a purchase I definitely won't be regretting in a hurry! You can pick it up from Superdrug for £29.99 by clicking here.

  1. La couleur de tes cheveux est remarquable. Je ne suis pas forcément fan de ce type d'accessoire chauffant intégrant une brosse. Cela implique d'avoir déjà les cheveux brushés ou souples.

  3. I've immediately ordered one. I'm trying to lay off the straighteners but my Tresemme hot air brush just makes my hair fluffy and frizzy so hopefully this will smooth it out!

  4. This looks like it would just tangle my hair up but it clearly works really well. This looks like it would work great with my shorter hair, great review.
