First things first (my chocolate starfish is mah man Fred Durst!) – This is a SPOILER alert. The Look Fantastic Beauty Box for January 2015 isn’t out yet. But if you want to see what’s in it, read on. If you don’t, go look at these cats instead.
Every few months I will say to myself ‘I’m done with beauty blogging, I’m going to blog about exciting adventures and interesting topics, which include more food so I have an excuse to eat more’, but then something lands in my lap which I feel I need to share because it’s just kind of awesome. And that’s exactly what has happened with the all singing, all dancing Look Fantastic Beauty Box for January 2015. The concept of beauty boxes is nothing new, we’ve all heard of the yawn-some monthly event which is Glossybox (I still can’t believe they’re going?!) which is a subscription service where you get a selection of products on your doorstep every month. Glossybox was great to start off with, but you slowly but surely got the same products creeping in and it also really bugged me that most of the brands contained in the box you could find in TK Maxx the week after. But anyway, after the endurance test it was to cancel that subscription a few years ago, I now only have time for Beauty Boxes which are WORTH parting money with.
That’s why the Look Fantastic Beauty Box is my kindaaaa vibe.
For £15 and free worldwide delivery, the Look Fantastic beauty box is one which is packed full of decent brands that you’ve actually heard of. Nuxe, Molton Brown, Philip Kingsley (and more!) all lean towards the more luxurious side of the beauty brand world; certainly not a selection to be sniffed at! Nuxe is a brand which I have searched high and low to find a discount offer on – unsuccessfully, so to see them make an appearance in such an affordable box is definitely going to make the Look Fantastic box stand out amongst the contenders for me. In fact, the Nuxe Creme Fraiche Mask will set you back £19.50 alone, so if you were considering buying it you should probably just buy this box instead and feel like Barry Big Time getting a ton of ace stuff free with it (and for less money!).
I suppose this is the great thing about a well established beauty website doing their own box is that you can fathom a good idea of the brands you can expect to see before it lands on your doorstep. Look Fantastic certainly don’t stock many bargain bin brands for you to turn your nose up at, so even though the box contains a ‘surprise’ each month, I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be a disappointing one.
Anyway, here’s a full run down of the January box:
- Nuxe Crème Fraiche de Beaute Mask: 50ml – £19.50
- Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence: 60ml. (Full Size 250ml – £22.00)
- Molton Brown Eucalyptus Body Wash: 100ml. (Full Size 300ml – £18.00)
- Goldwell Dualsenses Color 60Sec Treatment: 50ml. (Full Size 200ml – £11.00)
- Gatineau Strategie Jeunesse Eye Pads: Sample Pack. (Pack of 6 £34.50)
- MyVitamins Vitamin C Effervescent Tablets: 20 tablets – £4.49
A selection which is perfect for hair and skin recovery after the December partying.
