A Flawless Base with EX1, Murad & Urban Decay

I’ve got more foundations and primers on the go at the moment than I care to think about! It seems I will settle in to a make up routine then get really bored and decide to mix things up a bit and crack open some more. I still absolutely love my Vichy Dermablend Foundation but have recently discovered the hot new brand on the beauty market EX1. A brand I’d never heard of before but it’s flying off the shelves like nobodies business right now! The past week or so these are the three main products I’ve been using to get a flawless base on my face, which is also perfect for summer!

Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield

This is my new daily primer, which instantly makes your face feel super smooth and soft. It’s a light, gel formula, which I find feels slightly warm on application. With using the Pixi Glow Tonic at night, I need to ensure I use something with a good SPF in during the day due to the Glycolic Acid in it making your skin more vulnerable to sun damage. The Murad Invisiblur Perfection Shield not only acts as a great primer to keep your foundation in place all day, but it’s also SPF30, which is just what I need.

EX1 Foundation

Although EX1 cosmetics are tailored to suit olive skin tones (which I certainly am not) I’ve found that EX1 Foundation in the lightest shade ‘F100’ is perfect for my pale skin during the summer months! It’s really lightweight and seem to melt in to your complexion, whilst also covering your spots and blemishes. I do need a dab of concealer for the pesky red spots, but overall, at £12.50 from Look Fantastic I’m impressed!!

Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Powder

I’ve recently become obsessed with the Urban Decay Naked range, so when I got this Illuminated Powder in shade ‘Aura’ is the perfect addition to my summer make up routine. Although the glitter particles are slightly too large for my usual liking, the slightly peach toned colour instantly lifts your complexion. Dusted lightly across cheekbones, tip of the nose and across collar bones, the packaging is just as beautiful as the product inside and I only found out on the 4th use there was a brush concealed in the bottom bit of the box! Whoops!

If you like the sound of the Murad Primer, then head over to my Twitter as I’m currently giving one away for free in a sneaky RT & Follow comp 🙂

Winner announced next Sunday!
