Catch Up & Turning 30

Ah, it's been a little while since I've opened blogger.com to write a post. The last few weeks have been an absolute WHIRLWIND, with so much stuff going on! I've just this second got back from my Niece's FIRST Birthday Party, and realised that if I didn't open my laptop to blog now it simply wasn't going to happen any time soon.

So what have I been up to? Oh, like you really care - but the narcissistic side of me will tell you anyway. The first big EVENT which has happened was my 30th Birthday. Yup, I still look around 19, but last week I actually turned the big 3-0. To celebrate this momentous occasion was actually quite hard when working in e-commerce and that little thing called Black Friday reared it's ugly head (my b-day was the day before!).  However, I managed to have a really good day at work, with the pizza cat mug in the picture above being one of my wonderful presents from my colleagues! After work I went to the Trafford Centre to pick up some Lola's Cupcakes (yes, they're in Manchester now!) on the day and have tea with my friend, then we were sugared up to the eyeballs on the cupcakes during the duration of Black Friday. Yipee.

Over the cyber weekend, I trotted down to London to eat burgers and see BRING ME THE HORIZON. Because nothing says 3/4 life crisis like going to see a screamo band. I actually REALLY enjoyed it and the put on a proper good show. But then it was back to reality on the Sunday evening when I was in bed nice and early ready to crack on with Cyber Monday the following day.
Thankfully Cyber Monday absolutely flew by and we managed to come somewhere near our target, which mean we were all issued with a voucher to spend on Coggles, which was like, THE BEST THING EVER. I treated myself to a Vivienne Westwood handbag and stocked up on some Christmas treats for everyone too.

I finally managed to relax from the Tuesday onwards and went away for a few days to Portmeirion, which is the most beautiful place in Wales. I'll be writing a separate blog post all about that trip over the next few days. Even in the rain it was still thoroughly enjoyable! But as soon as we got back I booked myself straight in to get a new tattoo. Well, I say new, but it's a cover up job of an old one I had around 5-6 years ago! It was basically a blob of flowers on my arm which looked so so crap, so I figured that now I'm 30 it's time to live life without shit tattoos! I was there having it done for around 5 hours for this first sitting and I need to go back when it's healed to have it's finished. I am SO pleased with the work so far though and cannot believe how amazing this guy is that's done it! I cannot wait to have it finished.

Yesterday I popped up to Cheshire Oaks to do some Christmas shopping, but accidentally fell in to the Barbour shop and bought myself a new coat, whoops, and as mentioned, today I've been to my little baby nieces birthday party and now I feel a little bit sick from cake.

I'll get back to blogging regularly ASAP, but the fact my camera is a bit knackered isn't helping matters either, but I'll get there! But for now it's a bath and bed before I have to go back to work tomorrow morning, boooooo.
