When it comes to exquisite packaging, which just makes you want every single item you see, Too Faced have got it nailed. It’s (apparently) not an easy task to deliver high quality cosmetics in absolutely stunning packaging (or some brands would have you believe, with either one or the other being the focus), but Too Faced manage to deliver absolutely beautiful products both inside and out. The Too Faced La Creme Lip Colours are yet another product I’ve tried from the brand which are not only beautiful on the outside, but continue to be amazing on the inside too.
The sturdy light gold casing adds a nice, weighty feel to the lipsticks, making you feel like you can justify the £17 per each colour. Inside you will find a creamy, hydrating balm like lip colour which adds a nice touch of colour in one coat. The lighter shades Spice Spice Baby (far left) and Razzle Dazzle Rose (middle) are quite sheer in appearance, but add a nice long lasting hue of colour and shine to your lips. My absolute favourite from this trio is Jelly Bean, which is a delicious raspberry red colour, which when applied lasts for HOURS. I was actually surprised at how long it did last considering the shiny finish of the formula, but I think I’m getting too used to my matte finish lipsticks such as the Gwen Stefani and Urban Decay range. Where these differ from the matte finish lipsticks I’ve become so used to, is that these are a lot easier to apply and smooth across the lips easily without the drag you tend to get with less sleek lipsticks.
Although I do love, love, LOVE these, and the nude/pink shades are perfect for every day wear; I must admit, I am still swaying more towards the Too Faced Melted range. I will add a review of my all time favourite shade from that selection soon, but for now head to your local Too Faced counter and check these bad boys out.
