Music Blog: Now Playing April 2018

Next week marks the start of festival season with Slam Dunk returning to answer everyone’s pop punk dreams.

In a stark contrast to the line up at this years Slam Dunk, I’ve actually been listening to a lot more laid back music so far this month.

Music Blog: April 2018

Let’s Eat Grandma are my go-to background music right now.

They’re like a cross between M83 and The Blow, with a kick of Tegan and Sara.

And at the age of 17? There’s big things on the horizon for this pair.

I’ve been re-watching a lot of Tiny Desk Concerts on YouTube recently.

Especially this one from The Shins.

After watching Isle of Dogs I just got the urge to listen to a lot of The Shins again. They’re not on the soundtrack, but certain parts of the film music made me think of them?

I still can’t get over the first Alt J album and can’t believe it’s 6 years old now.

Breezeblocks is my all time favourite Alt J song.

This is constantly on repeat, but also fits the vibe of the other things I’ve been listening to so far this month.
