Food Blog: Pies for Brunch? Alright Then Pieminister Leeds…

bottomless brunch pieministerBrunch is the meal of the moment isn’t it?

I mean, what did we do in the 90’s when it just went from breakfast to dinner, eh?

Nowadays you can get all kinds of brunches.

Eggs, pancakes, bacon, toast, avocado. All stable brunch options.

But how’s about a brunch PIE?

And to wash it down BOTTOMLESS BOOZE.

Cuz that’s the type of shit Pieminister are treating you to nowadays and I ain’t complaining.

£20 all in and you get your choice of a Brunch Pie or Skillet (or, if you’re really basic just avocado on toast) and non-stop drinks for 90 minutes from the following selection:

  • Aperol Spritz
  • Bloody Mary
  • Prosecco
  • Mimosa

….And you can switch it up each time, not having to stick to the same drink choice.

Usually when you go for a Bottomless Brunch, the waiting on staff can tend to be a little slower when it comes to topping up that glass.

At Pieminister I never had a glass out of my hand though…

Which was perfect for jump-starting my day at Slam Dunk Festival. Alongside lining my stomach with food.

In fact, I think for the first time in YEARS I didn’t actually have a killer hangover the following day.

My only criticism of the drinks was that I’m not quite sure the prosecco was…. well, a good one? The first few glasses lacked bubbles? But when I switched to the mimosa’s I soon forgot about that small hiccup.

And the pie I had was really delicious. It was pretty much a fry up, in a pie. Perfect for setting you up for a big day ahead.

You do have to book in advance for the Bottomless Brunch, which is only available at selected restaurants on Saturdays and Sundays.

I was invited to review Pieminister in Leeds for review purposes.
