Set in the heart of Cheshire at Jodrell Bank, Bluedot Festival is a annual music event with a spacey twist.
Jodrell Bank is a space observatory, with the impressive Lovell Telescope on site. You may recognise the Lovell Telescope from the Placebo video for The Bitter End.
Drawing visitors from all locations, I remember visiting Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre as a kid and pleased to see how it has evolve intoto a versatile events venue now.
This year Bluedot returns and not only is it celebrating the music, but it’s also the 50th anniversay of the first moon landing – making the weekend even more poignent in the science and arts calendar.
Where is Jodrell Bank?
When is Bluedot Festival?
Who is playing Bluedot Festival 2019?
This year we see the synth masters from Düsseldorf know as Kraftwerk headlining the festival. Although it is being listed as ‘Kraftwerk 3D’ so I’m unsure what to expect. My first thought it that they will be videoed in as a virtual reality kinda thing, but who knows.
Alongside Krafterwerk at Bluedot Festival we have New Order, Hot Chip, Kate Tempest and many more.
There’s also ‘David Attenborough’s Jungle Boogie…
Sir David Attenborough invites you into the jungle for one night only… As an avid fan of both nature and Disco, his ‘Jungle Boogie’ will see the two worlds collide.
