Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain? Nahhh…

Oh, Revlon ‘Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain’ how you have captured my intrigue with your ridiculously long name alongside the brag of all day colour with lip softening goodness. Alas, I am poorer than Kerry Katona after the swift demise of Atomic Kitten, so I will have to make do with this Pound Land dupe instead. I give you CHIT CHAT JUICY LIPSTICK. Yeah boiii.

I did have a little swatcheroo of the Revlon Balm Stain when I was in Boots earlier so I at least had something to go off in the dupe wars. I must say the consistency of the product seems very similar. Although stain-ability lacks a little when it comes to the Chit Chat one. I picked up ‘Fiery Red’ which was one of only two variants they had available in Pound Land today (although I hear rumours there are more in the range). I think this shade is closest to ‘Smitten’ in the Revlon balm stains.
Swatching both on my hand within the same hour, the Revlon appears to have lasted around 1 hour longer than the Chit Chat one (hand washes included) I know that’s not the most accurate of ways to tell but it’s a rough idea. I get such dry lips and stains ALWAYS dry them out endlessly so it’s really nice to have a product like this developed for us death lipped people. The colour of this is slightly transparent at first but is easily buildable to a good solid shade. Although it didn’t moisturise my lips as much as a balm would it still had that lovely texture and definitely didn’t dry my lips to any extent.

I think for the mere price of £1 versus an RRP of £7.99 for the Revlon one, this cheaper alternative is pretty awesome. I will definitely be checking back for some different shades, a lovely pink one wouldn’t go amiss! I also did notice these in PoundLand a few months ago before the UK release of the Revlon balms, I think it’s pretty good how a cheapo brand is staying up to speed with the latest trends huh!? What do you reckon to PoundLand make up buys? They’re the future I tells ya!

I was eyeing these up in Poundland the other day but didn't buy one in the end.. Looks like I'll be going back to see if they're still there and make a cheeky purchase!! Fab review, thanks 🙂

For £1 that's a pretty sweet dupe! I've only ever bought branded makeup from good old poundland, I've never thought of buying the other stuff as I'd always assumed it would be shit! Clearly I need to get over my snobbery (though really, how snobby can you be shipping in poundland?? Haha) xo

I might have to check out my local P-Land, I really like the original Just Bitten stains and have wanted to try the Balm Stain for a while, but alas, bank account says NO! This looks like a good, cheap alternative though!

I have to say that whilst this looks pretty good I am loving the kissable balms, I have been wearing them daily and am yet to find fault. But this looks a great alternative!

Sorry poppet, I think the Revlon one is better, I bought on this week in the colour Crush and I'm loving it so much. However, I'm a product snob and doubt I would ever spend £1 on a lip product. Good find for the thrifters out there though.

I love the Revlon ones & love a good dupe esp when its so much cheaper. I am going to have a look for these and pick some up to see how they compare. Thanks for the heads up
