Ah, so tartan is here, tartan is there, it seems no matter where you turn on fashion blogs at the moment – tartan is EVERYWHERE. For a little bit of a change though I’m not blogging about that
Primark tartan dress which ever blogger and their cat has (which I’m still eyeing up and might purchase one day soon anyway). I was in Manchester on Sunday and spotted Ark was now in the Arndale Centre (for any local folk, it used to be just outside by Pizza Hut opposite Selfridges). Straight away I spotted this little tartan dress
and it’s just so Suzy Bishop
I had to have it right there and then….
There’s so many things about this dress which I absolutely loveeeee. The contrasting collar and cuffs, the red tartan pattern, the lovely fit and flair-esque cut of it. The only thing I actually dislike is the fact it doesn’t have a zip anywhere on it to get it on and off! This proved to be quite the pickle in the shop and so many on the rail had make up stains on the collar due to unsuspecting ladies trying it on in the changing room. Luckily I nabbed the last size 10 without any make up on it.
This dress goes perfectly with some trusty knee high socks. Although maybe not in the windy weather we are having today actually…. But still, doesn’t it look good with the socks eh? A lot of people are put off long socks because they tend to fall down a lot don’t they? WELL. Let me let you in to a little secret…. Staysput Sock Glue
. This is literally the best invention in the world ever (for knee high socks it is anyway) It’s basically a skin friendly glue with a roller ball applicator which you rub around the circumference of your legs and stick you socks up with. Genius huh? You just remove it with a wet wipe when you’re done wearing them. This stuff is brilliant and will keep your socks up all niiiight lonnnngg (all night, alll night loonnnnggg) and all day too if you’re feeling fruity in the day time.
Obviously I am wearing my new favourite shoes in the world ever which I featured on my last fashiony blog post
. I’ve not had them off my feet! Which is very rare for me at this time of the year as usually I am living in my knee high brown boots (a standard purchased for every Autumn). But alas, I am still in love with this things and I’ve had them over a week now… Usually it’s in my fickle nature to have them safely stored in my closet never to be seen again by now.
Are you a victim to the Tartan trend yet?
