The Owls Are Not What They Seem

The ideal gift - Grumpy owl stationary from Santoro on Hello Terri Lowe, British lifestyle blog.

So you know I like cats yah? Well, what is almost a cat… But not a cat… And in fact an entirely different species which is kinda just as cute? THAT’S RIGHT, YOU GUESSED IT, I’M ON ABOUT OWLS AND I LIKE OWLS. As soon as Santoro asked if I’d like to receive some of their beautiful stationary, I was immediately drawn to this little Grumpy Owl design. LOOK AT HIM. SO GRUMPY. I’ve seen Santoro stationary before in little boutique shops before and am always drawn to their quirky cute designs, especially during my slightly gothy days when the Gorjuss range took particular interest! but I’ve never seen the Owl range before, so I was pretty excited to get my mitts on it. The Cloth Notebook is definitely my favourite item from this little collection, as I do love a good note book!! Does anyone else literally collect notebook after notebook but find them too precious to actually write in?! I have two shelves which contain the precious ones with like, one, actually containing any kind of written content. I’m still not quite sure what I will be using this one for, but the pages are so thick and lovely that I can crack out a nice Lamy fountain pen and not worry about it bleeding through the pages. Each page also features the lovely little grumpy owl illustration, which obviously makes it even more precious. Talking of finding uses for things, I’m also in love with the little owl trinket tin, which is the perfect size for… SOMETHING, but I’m not sure what. Oh, I am indecisive aren’t I? I just love owning pretty things but hate running the risk of using them and ruining them! At least I’ve had no trouble cracking out the cute little button badges and popping them on to my favourite Jump From Paper bag as they were the perfect addition to match the quirky cuteness. Everything from Santoro is just ideal to gift – either to yourself or to somebody else.

totally an owl fan, although the owl situation of 2013 got a bit out of hand and my friends banned me. It got to the stage where it felt likek we lived in an aviary!

Yes, I definitely find it so hard to actually use nice notebooks . . .and if I ever do, it has to be in my best writing, with a nice pen!
