Essence Make Up Launch, Manchester
New budget beauty brand now available in the UK!
I mentioned the other day that as part of my ‘Wild Weekend’ I attended the Essence UK make up launch in Manchester. Essence
is a make up brand I have heard about countless times from my little Czech friend Tereza
, and often when she goes home for little holidays she will bring me a few treats back. This meant I was extra excited for Essence to become available in the UK so I could browse all the budget beauty goodness for myself! They seem to be constantly releasing on trend colours, designs and products, and it’s pretty phenomenal the amount of variation they actually do have! Invited by Flipside PR, I can honestly say I have never been to such a generous blogger event, ever! They had a stand similar to what you’d see on the high street which was a literal pick and mix free for all. You just grabbed a bag and browsed, then as soon as you saw something you liked you nabbed! It felt a little bit wrong just taking things off a shelf like that, but so so right at the same time. I was also picking up bits for Charl and Tereza, who couldn’t make it, so if you saw me being extra greedy then rest assured it wasn’t all just for me!! I’ve finally (a week later) sorted out what is for who and slowly working my way through my own hoard of goodies. I’ve got a post planned which contains some hits (and misses) so far, so keep a look out for that this week if you’re interested in what’s hot or not in the world of Essence. The event was set in the cool and casual ‘Studio’ venue near the top of Lever Street just outside of the Northern Quarter, and was really easy to find. Once we were inside there were table set up for people to have their foundation colour matched, nails done and generally have a bit of a network and chitchat with all the other bloggers who were there. Apart from that Katy Perry cake party
the other week, this is definitely up there with the best beauty blog event I’ve ever been to. Manchester, why are you so brilliant at blogger events?!
You can find Essence make up
in Wilko’s stores around the UK (although I’ve yet to see one in the flesh yet) and also in the Arndale Centre they have a special stand set up just near H&M in the upper mall. It’s all super affordable and colourful, but if you can’t decide what to buy yet, don’t worry. I will have some Essence make up reviews
up very soon, because I certainly do have a lot to review!!
