Suddenly Diamonds Perfume
The Lidl Dupe for Hugo Boss Orange
Another day, another perfume, another bargain buy. This time in the form of ‘Suddenly Diamonds’ from Lidl.
Apparently released in February, I’ve only just spotted it in my local Lidl store, and immediately got excited. It wasn’t so much the signs that said something about people saying it was better than a £150 Harrods perfume, or something to that effect, it was more because after loving the Suddenly Madame Glamour fragrance I knew that I couldn’t go wrong. For £3.99, it works out less than adding a packet of bagels with cream cheese and bacon in to your basket, and it will certainly last a bit longer with it’s 50ml bottle. Reading up on Lidl Suddenly Diamonds online, it is apparently a dupe for Hugo Boss Orange, which I have yet to sniff. The perfume itself is a lovely summery scent, almost like a daytime counterpart to the Suddenly Madame Glamour, which comes across as more of an evening scent (and smells like Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, incase you haven’t heard). I don’t think the name ‘diamonds’ is quite fitting for the scent, as you’d expect a crisp sharp fragrance, but it actually smells more fruity than floral. Delicate scents of apple and orange blossom are the lingering scents, with a slightly spicy undertone. All in all, a great price for a great perfume. Thanks Lidl, you made my weekly shop slightly more exciting than usual.
