Despite this being the outfit I have worn the most over the past week or so (yeah, I wear outfits for more than one day – and what!) I haven’t managed to get a snap of me actually wearing it. This time of the year is the absolute worst for most bloggers, with the dark nights seemingly never ending and having to work full time; you just never seem to see daylight hours! Alas, I got ten minutes free earlier, in actual DAY LIGHT, before I went to work and managed to do a quick flat lay of my favourite togs for this chilly spell.
The dress, necklace and shirt I’ve picked up from Primark. There’s nothing better than a super snuggly jumper to get you through the day. I love the cable knit design and have been after a jumper dress like this for SO LONG. They usually cling around all the area’s I’d rather they wouldn’t and don’t flatter my pear shape at all. This beige/cream number from Primark though is a complete game changer. I did size up to ensure a nice loose fit, which also ensure that I can layer up underneath comfortably too. They had it in burgundy as well, and costing only £13 I’m definitely going to head up and grab another whilst I still can! The necklace was reduced to £2, and isn’t usually my style. I just wanted a nice statement necklace to break up a few tops I have, but I just never found one I liked very much, so thought I’d go for this one on the cheap and it turns out it goes with EVERYTHING. The red gems are also kinda festive but not in an obvious way.
have always been a bit like UGG boots
in my head. One of those things I never quite understood the hype of until I tried it for myself. I’ve got to say, the quality and fit of this ‘Winter Vintage’ jacket from Repertoire Fashion
is top notch. I went for a size 10, despite it being a slim fitting, and I must admit it’s very snug! So if you do go for this style I’d recommend you size up. It’s extra toasty even without a jumper or long sleeved top underneath though, due to it’s warm fleece sherpa lining. It’s the perfect jacket for Christmas shopping too, as it keeps you so warm when you’re on the high street, but isn’t too heavy for when you go in to actual shops with their heating blazing!
Teaming the entire outfit with a cute pair of brown suede Chelsea style boots,
I’ve been fully prepared for the Christmas shopping period! These brown suede short boots from Morlands
are sheepskin lined, which makes them endlessly comfortable whilst the simple style makes the effortless to wear with anything! They’re super warm and even have a nice tread on the bottom to stop you slipping on your butt when the icy weather really starts. There’s nothing worse than a pair of boots which don’t have a good grip on the bottom, as surely you’re only wearing them when it’s wet and cold?! But these ‘Anna’ boots are fantastic for any weather so far!
