It wasn’t long ago that I was singing the praises of Zouk in Manchester in the form of a blog post, which you can see here. Of course, when I was invited back to try out one of their cookery classes I jumped at the chance to discover how this delicious food was created! For the class, I experienced how to make the perfect Tandoori marinade from scratch and how to tailor it to each meat to grill on the BBQ. From Paneer to Chicken, we learnt how to not only create the most beautiful flavours, but also how to make a Seekh Kebab (including how to actually keep it on the skewer!). The fresh flavours, straight from the BBQ grill, were like something I hadn’t tasted before and the hours we put in to creating our food was well worth it when we came to feast on it all.
The class took us from 10am up until lunch time at 12.30 and the intimate masterclass also showcased the way the chef creates the ultimate summer salads, alongside the method to prepare and cook the naan breads. It’s safe to say I’m still fully stuffed from all the food now!
