If you’re desperate to be a fan of Benefit Porefessional Primer, but can’t get on with the PVA glue-like texture, then you might want to check out the Hylamide Pore Delete. With a slightly runnier formula, which is easier to apply with fingertips, this white liquid ensure that oily areas of your skin are kept at bay. Not only that, but it also smooths out your complexion both on the ol’ pore front and where you’re concerned about pesky fine lines.
Don’t get me wrong, the formula does still take a little work to get used to. The bottle reckons you should dab it on after a liquid foundation but before any powders, whereas I like to apply a thin layer before any make up as a primer base. If you apply your foundation with a sponge this works well, if you use a brush or your fingers you may need to practice a little bit.
For £18 it’s a little cheaper than Porefessional, and the entire Hylamide range is full of problem > solution type products. Give it a little look over on Mankind.
The range also has a ‘foundation’ in it, which is basically the NIOD Photography Fluid but more lightweight and a little bit cheaper.
