Music Blog: Now Playing August, Leeds Festival Special

August, August, August.

The month of Leeds Festival.

The festival I hold dearest to my heart and have been every year for the last 10 years!

This year, when the line up was released, I wasn’t *that* bothered. But as new bands are released on the line up, I’m getting more and more excited.

Especially since Stoke on Trent’s next big thing Dylan Cartlidge has been chosen to play the BBC Introducing Stage.

Check this guy out now. He’s seriously going to over take Robbie Williams as Stoke’s best musical achievement¬†(thank. fuck).

Rumour has it he’s already working with some massive names in the music biz… And I can’t wait to see and hear more.

Who else am I looking forward to seeing at Leeds Festival 2018?

OBVIOUSLY Death from Above 1979.

Can you believe that Romantic Rights is 14 years old? One of the first indie bangers I ever danced to when I finally went out to night clubs, it’s a pretty special song for me to see live.

The Horrors are also playing Leeds 2018…

And I really hope they play a set that is different from when I saw them at Live at Leeds this year.

Don’t get me wrong, they were good and the venue (The Church, Leeds) was amazing. But I simply didn’t know any of the songs.

Play me anything from the Count in Fives era and I’m sold though….

Continuing my theme as a former goth child, I also can’t wait to see The Used.

The Taste of Ink is a Satan’s Hollow treasure in room 2 (if you know, you know) and this will be the first time I’ll get to see it live.

It’s just an emo shame that Finch aren’t playing afterwards to be honest though.

But who’s almost as good as Finch from ‘back in the day’??

My big pals from last year and I’m pretty excited to see them for a second time in as many years.

And for a change I’ll post Devil In a Midnight Mass instead of Try Honesty.

See I can be versatile and relevant:
