With so many burger places in the Northern Quarter, let alone Manchester, it can be an on-going battle for eateries to stand out amongst the crowd.
This weekend I was invited to Dive NQ to try out their menu, which consisted of a lot of burgers.
But would they provide a burger to fend off all burger competition?
Let’s find out…
Burgers at Dive NQ
“Are you hungry? Well, you’re in the right place. From juicy burgers, to fully stacked nachos, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Check out the menu and find your hunger fix!”– Dive NQ website
And we certainly were spoilt for choice, actually.
The burger menu itself ticks all the boxes. From lovers of a classic cheese burger, to those who like a something a bit different, it was actually quite hard to chose *the one*.
But I got there….
Introducing the ‘Graceland’ Burger at Dive NQ…
Double Cheese Burger.
Peanut Satay Sauce.
With a generous side of sweet potatoes fries for good measure…
Setting you back between £10 and £14 for any burger on the menu, there is a wide variety to get your
Not just for the serving size, but the quality of the burger itself was pretty decent.
Not the juiciest burger in the land, but up the with some of the better quality burgers I’ve had.
I really enjoyed the contrast in flavours. The banana wasn’t overly sweet and the texture of the peanut satay sauce was just right to add a good dash of moisture to the overall burger.
Usually when you have peanut butter on a burger it’s exactly that – peanut butter. But Dive had made a gooey Peanut Satay sauce which oozed with every bite and complemented the cheeseburger flavours well.
The only thing that really let Dive down was the lack of people in there.
When we arrived there were only two other people dining and some more arrived as we were leaving – And we were there at peak lunch time on a Sunday.
I suppose with so many people passing through the Northern Quarter, they can get side tracked with the other sights and sounds and miss this wonderful basement burger bar!
This wasn’t a negative for me personally, as it meant quick service and plenty of choice for seating.
And saying that, they do get super busy in the evening with their amazing cocktail menu and offers.
I would recommend going to Dive NQ, especially if you are hungry.
Generous portion sizes, plenty of choice (including burritos on the menu as well!) and quick service.
It hits the spot and there wasn’t a single grumble from any of us (and if you’ve dined with 4 females where 3 are bloggers, you’ll know how hard it can be to please everyone!).
I think Dive NQ is going to be a lifesaver during Christmas shopping season too, as even if it does get busy there are PLENTY of tables and seats even for a busy service session.
