I’m not sure if it’s just me that in 2019 keeps post-it notes in a written diary of places I want to visit. Some people are probably much more modern and write it on a spreadsheet, or on their phone, or something.
But me? Nah, a good ol’ pen and post-it note is my logging mechanism.
I’ve been making my Manchester hit list for some time now and here is a select few places from that list that I want to go to and a brief reason why…
Places to eat in Manchester
Mackie Mayor, as it seems to resemble the foodhallen in Amsterdam and has a range of food and drink options under one roof.
Cottonopolis as I am intrigued by not only their cocktails and drinks menu but also the food menu which is Japanese inspired. This includes Bao buns which are delicious and apparently non-existent in Stoke-on-Trent.
Bunny Jacksons as it seems like a really cool live music venue that also does good offers on chicken wings. We’re talking like 10p chicken wings here…
Shoryu Ramen for their limited edition Gudetama menu!! I have missed the last few editions of this lazy egg inspired feasts. Thankfully it’s back for Easter and my name is already down to try it.
Tokyo Ramen which serves a ton of freshly prepared and cooked ramen noodles all through the day, but once they’re gone they’re gone.
V Rev which although I am no means vegan I am endlessly intrigued by all this ‘delicious’ vegan fast food that people keep posting online.
HOME which isn’t technically just food. It’s also a cinema, theatre, Arts Centre and gallery showcasing a range of different things throughout the month. I especially want to go during Manchester International Festival where they will be holding David Lynch exhibitions and releasing a film schedule to watch some of his best pieces.
Slice in the Northern Quarter. Which I have been to many times before but they are currently having a massive renovation which means they won’t open until again spring. I can’t wait to see how they revamp the interior.
Mowgli is somewhere I have been meaning to swing by since it opened. Their Tiffin boxes seem like an ideal way to try a few different things on the menu. Great for someone as indecisive as I am(!) and only sets you back around £16.
I don’t want to be too greedy with my list, and I could go on forever
Do you do similar in different cities where you can buy a list of places that you really need to go if so please do share the. I am always looking for new places to eat drink and be
