It’s just less than a month Download Festival welcomes 100,000 alternative music fans to Donnington Park yet again.
Not only is there the usual rock and metal line-up (with some alternative goodness such as Die Antwoord thrown in), but Download also welcomes back WWE wrestling.
This year’s headliners are sure to make it a sell-out weekend with Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool all finishing off the three-day extravaganza.
Not only are the headliners set to draw a crowd, but with acts like Smashing Pumpkins, Slash ft. Miles Kennedy, Trivium and Slayer on the bill it’s gonna be a lottttt of fun.
Another intriguing act added to the line-up includes the world’s only ‘Elvis fronted Nirvana’ act Elvana.
Download has much more to offer than music, drinking and partying, that’s for sure. Always being top of my list for the friendliest festival ever, there’s no end of additional things to see and do if there’s a band on you’re not that interest in!
As well as the WWE wrestling stuff, there’s also the introduction of the first ever ‘Mind the Dog’ mindfulness initiative, where which includes fully immersive live music and mindfulness experience.
And don’t forget the food stalls alongside the on-site Co-Op! I mean, what better way to soak up a hangover than a meal-deal. I always get excited when I see the Co-Op at festivals as it means you can actually budget for the weekend without paying £10 a pint!
